While enjoying the vacation with
your pet, there are some guidelines to help you. The leash law
on Hatteras Island requires all pets to be on leashes and that
leashes not exceed six (6) feet in length. There is a mandatory
removal of feces law through out the Outer Banks area.
Also, please remember to keep your pet hydrated and provide an
area of shade at all times while at the beach, and never leave
your pet unattended in a vehicle.
