The quaint little "Town of Duck, NC" is a small vacation
village located on the northern Outer Banks. It’s
relatively new as resort go but it’s packed with things
to do!
The wide, uncrowded Duck NC beaches have been ranked
among the top in the nation. But the town of Duck has no
public beach accesses, so you have to be staying in Duck
to enjoy its beaches. Watersports are big here whether
it’s swimming, surfing, fishing, sea kayaking, walking
or just lazing in the sun on the beach. Then there is
the other side of Duck NC – Currituck Sound – a perfect
place to fish, paddle a canoe or kayak, parasail, Jet
Ski and windsurf.
Several outfitters in Duck supply the all the goods and
gear you need. And those who like indoor recreation will
appreciate Duck’s day spas.
Come visit Duck for shopping, dining on the sound and a
day at the beach!

The Whalehead Club
Although park admission and many of the
events at Currituck Heritage Park are free, by touring
the historic Whalehead Club visitors support the
Whalehead Preservation Trust, a non-profit organization
established in 1993 to restore and preserve the
Whalehead Club. With physical restoration now complete,
the Trust is focused on returning the original 1920-30’s
furnishings to the house. The park is open from dawn
until dusk daily and we hope you visit often.
